We are experiencing impressive growth in the commercial, multiunit housing, and industrial sectors. -Construction Estimator - Excavation Job Overview: - -We are looking for a senior Estimator to join our construction team. As a Senior Estimator, you are responsible for calculating construction bids and handle negotiations and be involved in planning, development, and contract execution of a project. - -Here at Earth Services, our Estimators show professionalism, and have the ability to represent us when meeting with owners and clients about their projects. You must have the ability to negotiate what a range of professionals as well as make accurate time and cost estimates and resolve issues that arise. - - -Responsibilities: -

• Determining the total cost of materials, equipment, utilities, and labor for construction projects. -
• Researching construction documents and analyzing specifications. -
• Preparing estimates for planning, organizing, and scheduling project work. -
• Managing pre-qualification and pre-bid submissions. -
• Preparing estimates to meet project goals, such as setting work hours, sequencing tasks, obtaining materials, and securing the best deals with vendors and subcontractors. -
• Ensuring that relevant documents and budgets are submitted before a bid deadline. -
• Regularly reporting to Management and keeping clients updated on the project status. -
• Formulating contingency plans and effectively managing risks that might impact cost and time estimates. -
• Keeping track of the latest estimating technology and industry-related techniques. -
• Collaborating with other teams, conducting site visits, and providing other services, like bid deliveries, when required. -

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - -
  • Conflict-resolution skills. - -
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), and/or related software. - -

  • Ability to read construction drawings and understand industry scopes of work. - -
  • Appropriate understanding of construction practice - -Qualifications -
    • College Degree or 2+ years of experience in Construction management, or Civil Engineering. - -
    • At least 1 year of experience in estimating construction projects. - -
    • Experience using AutoCAD is a plus. - -
    • Must be able to traverse and inspect all areas of jobsite in all types of weather (this may include walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching). - -
