• A Day In the Life
• Journeyman Position: -
• Assist with fabrication of sheet metal products in the manufacturing shop
• Operate various equipment: combi machine, CNC and press brakes, Digital shears, etc.
• Most of the day is spent operating operating Autobrake
• Prepping machines for operation, prepping material for shipping, unloading and loading
• Train current employees and new hires
  
• Foreman Postion:
• Everything listed above plus:
• Provide training to the team on sheet metal fabrication, & equipment
• Manage and estimate actual labor hours for production schedule and order processing
• Supervise crews and cross-functional teams to accomplish projects and meet deadlines
• Develop and execute cross-training plans with our different departments: glazing shop, metals, ACM panel shop
• Provide recommendations on process improvements, hiring, promotions, and corrective actions
• Track and report on: job hours, build progress, completions, & safety meetings
• Ensure the metals fabrication shop is compliant with all safety & quality standards
• What We Are Seeking
• 3+ years experience in sheet metal fabrication - hiring Journeyman & Foreman
• Extensive knowledge and experience sheet metal fabrication
• Able to operate equipment: CNC and press brakes, Roper Whitney Shear, RAS programmer, digital Accurshear, etc.
• Knowledgeable on bend profiles and sheet metal jigs
• Experience in unitized glazing and/or metal panel fabrication -is a plus
  
• Foreman:
• Experience with production schedules and order processing
• Lean Manufacturing Knowledge
• Familiarity with Microsoft Softwares
• General experience in data analysis & management
