MOUNTAINLAND TECHNICAL COLLEGEInvites applications for the position of:Practical Nursing Clinical InstructorHours: PRNLocation: 2301 W. Ashton Blvd Lehi, Utah 84043Status: Part-Time/ Non-ExemptWage: $31.20 /hourResponsibilities include but are not limited to:Provide students with technical instruction in a safe environment.Supervise students at clinical sites and maintain a presence in the facility during the entire student clinical shift.Promote the development of professional attitudes, knowledge, and behaviors among students through modeling appropriate behaviors and intervening when inappropriate behaviors are observed.Teach clinical/lab/simulation as outlined in the curriculum to include theory content, clinical content, skills lab content, and simulation content.Investigate and adopt strategies that improve teaching by reviewing available teaching resources and recommending acquisition of appropriate materials.Lead discussions during post-clinical and pre-/post-simulation to support learning outcomes.Keep PN Director, Associate Director and/or Clinical Coordinator aware of issues, problems, or resources needed.Is available to work evening and/or weekends and must be able to work a flexible schedule to accommodate clinical site and studentOrient students to clinical areas, and demonstrate proper procedures as needed.Qualifications: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse or APRN in the State of Utah is requiredMinimum of Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited university or college, or Associate of Science in Nursing with concurrent enrollment in a BSN program with completion date within a year or less.
