Description

Purpose of Position:

The Lead receptionist is responsible for answering the phones for all of Thanksgiving Point, selling event tickets, providing basic information to guest, and selling memberships. Most importantly the receptionist is the first point of contact and the 'voice' of Thanksgiving Point for our guests.

Responsibilities:

Answering multiple phone lines and helping callers with questions including information about Thanksgiving Point and current events.

* Assist with venue admission reservations and events reservations.
* Assist with in person guest experiences and information with Thanksgiving Point Signature Events.
* Responding to Contact Us Form emails sent in by guests if Manager is out of the office, in an efficient and timely manner.
* Respond and fulfill all Member Reservation Cancellation requests in an efficient and timely manner.
* Maintain and organize Lost and Found items and forms for reception and general Lost and Found.
* Assist Membership and Development department with assignments, as needed and requested.
* Assist Human Resources department with assignments, as needed and requested.
* Send out daily report email to required departments or make sure an email is sent out at the end of the day, if manager is out of the office.
* Lock up, turn off phones and computers if manager is out of the office.

Shift Hours and Days Required:

* Monday Through Friday required. Occasional Saturdays required.
* Most Holidays.
* Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
* Saturdays 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
* Peak Seasons may be required to come in an hour earlier or stay an hour later.
* Event help also required including morning, day, and evening shifts.

Position Requirements

Skill Requirements:

* Looking for happy, confident, self-motivated individual who interact well with members, guests and the public.
* Must have exceptional communication skills, a pleasant voice, and a friendly personality.
* Must posses a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and have the ability to learn new skills and programs.
* Must have keyboard skills and knowledge of standard office equipment.
* Must be able to work alone some of the time.
* Must be able to handle stressful situations with dignity and a calm demeanor.
* Previous Guest Service Experience is helpful but not required.
