Data Science Discovery, Intern

• Leverage AI and ML solutions in solving problems in ranking, recommendation and probabilistic record linking for areas in family history, health and DNA products
• Champion a data-driven culture and support the long-term business value creation through development of best-in-class data science capabilities in the area of probabilistic record linking
• Engage in technical discussions and brainstorm with the team in translating business problems into technical solutions and finding the best technical solutions to the challenges at hand Who You Are:
  • Must be enrolled in a program majoring in Computer Science, math, or related fields
  • Must be enrolled in a University in the US and graduating after summer 2021
  • Must be proficient in Python and SQL
  • Must have experience with applied Machine Learning
  • Must have demonstrable experience working on a data science project Nice to Have:
    • Enrollment in a Masters or PhD program
    • Proficiency in Java (or Scala)
    • Knowledge about probabilistic record linking
