About This Role
The Technology Training Specialist must be able to efficiently
learn new platforms, programs, and processes as well as implement
and communicate via various training approaches, the learned
information in a clear, concise manner to individual contributors,
business unit leaders, and management.
Manage multiple ongoing technology projects at once and clearly
communicate on progress, problems, timelines, and the need for
support. This position assesses technical developmental needs to
support and drive training relating to new and changed
technologies. Identifies and arranges suitable training plans and
solutions for technology and process initiatives that support
overall organizational excellence. This position performs active
analysis, creatively designs and implements effective methods to
educate, enhance performance and increase adoption of change
throughout the organization.
Overall Responsibilities
Assess technical training needs throughout the organization, and
design, create, and deliver courseware to meet the needs.
Identify and address training gaps based on evidence of incorrect
software usage. Stay up to date on the business processes that the
systems and technical tools support.
Research and implement best training practices for onsite and
remote teams.
Proactively identify, develop, and help lead improvements to ensure
effective and efficient processes.
Responsible for creating and maintaining a library of system user
manuals, training material, and technology related organization
workflows.
Devises and implements training effectiveness measures for each
course that is delivered.
Works with other trainers within the organization to coordinate and
assist in developing, delivering, conducting training to internal
teams related to systems, software and change initiatives.
Coordinates with other IT teams to ensure hardware, software, and
system access that is needed for training is readily available for
end user training sessions.
Develops training review processes to produce error free training
materials and system documentation.
Conducts training and development needs assessments for the
organizations change initiatives.
Provide input, document training requirements, develop training
plans, and support design of training needs.
Develops training programs and objectives to support change
initiatives that increase adoption and minimize the loss in
productivity that may result from the change.
Obtains and develops effective training content and materials
utilizing a variety of delivery methods and media.
Design and deliver e-learning courses, workshops and other
trainings
Trains and coaches managers, supervisors and others involved in the
change efforts.
Maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments and
best practices
Develop training documentation to support new system
implementations, development of system operations guides and
manuals.
Experience identifying end user and operational training
requirements.
Experience developing end user training material and conducting
train-the-trainer sessions.
Develops and maintains organizational communications to ensure
employees have knowledge of training and development events and
resources.
Conducts follow-up of all completed training to evaluate and
measure results and modifies programs as needed.
Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the
organization.
Ability to travel to Lumio regions within the States for training
events (North West, Central, SouthEast, West).
Skills & Qualifications
Ability to understand complex systems and processes to create
documentation that can be used by a variety of audiences.
Familiar with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring,
coaching, on-the-job or in live classroom training, e-learning,
workshops, simulations, etc.).
Familiar with various Learning & Development standards and
approaches.
Knowledgeable of software/system development life cycle.
Ability to evaluate and research training options and
alternatives.
Ability to design and implement effective training and
development.
Able to be present with strong active listening skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong presentation and public speaking skills to small and large
audiences.
Excellent time management skills.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Minimum 4+ years experience as a trainer for technology.
