Overview

Medifast is looking for a hand on talented leader in software QE to take our capabilities in automation & tools, and effectiveness to the next level. This position will provide technical leadership, coaching, designing & implementing frameworks for web services, and strategic direction to the QE team. In this role, you will have an opportunity to improve quality and accelerate the delivery and be involved in all phases and layers of the application having a direct impact on the Quality of our process improvements and production releases.

As a passionate Staff Software Test Automation Engineer, you will provide technical leadership to the team of engineers as a part of a QE group focused on a breadth of technologies and applications including very highly scalable distributed applications.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or Similar Discipline
- 10-15 years of overall IT experience in Quality Engineering, preferably E-Commerce applications
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in building, designing, and managing various automation frameworks - API, Mobile, Backend and Frontend
- 2+ years of staff management experience (both onshore and offshore internal & 3rd party teams)

Required Experience and Skills:
- Proficient and hands-on experience in implementing Automation Test Methodologies and Tools: Test Frameworks such as Selenium WebDriverIO, BDD or Cucumber, Appium, or Jbehave, REST APIs, and/or Data Solutions
- Experience in using Mock Data & Service Virtualization tools
- Experience in using applications/tools such as BrowserStack or Sauce Labs, Jenkins, Allure Reports, Jira, Bitbucket, TestRail
- Must have hands-on experience in Java Script, Java, Python, PL/SQL, Stored Procedures
- Demonstrate expertise in building and managing Performance QE Automation frameworks - API/Backend & Frontend
- Experience using Agile Best Practices
- Have strong technical skills, both functional and non-functional, manual and automation, ideally in a continuous delivery environment
- Ability to operate in fast-paced environment and result-driven to meet tight deadlines and manage competing priorities simultaneously
- Must have good written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate across business areas
- Ability to work collaboratively across Functional Boundaries to drive High Quality Results

Nice to have:
- Experience in Mocha/Chai frameworks, Node.js, Microservices is a plus
