GENERAL PURPOSE The purpose of this position is to maintain quality standards and product levels of all fresh products for the delicatessen. This person will be assisting the chefs in the preparation of chef-prepared salads, entrees and hot case items, preparing and cooking rotisserie chickens, breading and frying chicken JoJo potatoes, doing duties as a fry cook, receiving and stocking product and providing exceptional customer service.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESFollows established departmental and store policies and proceduresEnsures the quality and freshness of all products and services the delicatessen providesResponsible for maintaining the appropriate product assortment and inventory levels for the delicatessen hot caseConfirms pricing accuracy and signage for all products, paying particular attention to ad itemsEnsures the delicatessen is cleaned and sanitized daily and meets the company standards for appearanceDelivers excellent customer service to all customersAssists in preparation of chef-prepared salads, entrees, and special ordersSlices, cuts and chops fruits, vegetables and other items to be used in recipesPrepares and cooks rotisserie chickensPrepares macaroni and cheese and baked beans for the hot caseBreads and fries chicken legs, thighs, wings, breasts, tenders and JoJo potatoesReceiving and stocking of productAssists as needed to ensure the success of the delicatessen as a wholeMARGINAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESPerforms other job-related duties as assignedNATURE OF WORK CONTACTSConsistent and daily interaction with store associatesConsistent and daily interaction with customersTRAINING & QUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
