Job Description: Non?Registered Radiology Technologist Location: American Fork Hospital Pay Rate: $20.67 per hour Start Your Radiology Career While Making a Real Impact Are you currently enrolled in a radiologic technology program and ready to gain hands?on experience in a hospital setting? American Fork Hospital is seeking a Non?Registered Radiology Technologist who is eager to grow their skills, support patient care, and build a strong foundation toward ARRT registration. In this role, you’ll perform diagnostic imaging procedures within your scope of practice, working under the supervision of a Registered Radiologic Technologist while gaining valuable clinical experience that directly supports your transition from student to registered technologist. What You’ll Do As a Non?Registered Radiology Technologist, you will: - Perform diagnostic imaging procedures within state licensure and scope of practice - Maintain ARRT or modality?specific competency in clinical and technical functions - Verify patient identity and orders; prepare patients for imaging exams - Perform exams according to department protocols and evaluate images for quality, clarity, and accuracy - Adhere to radiation safety standards and maintain a safe environment for patients and caregivers - Complete studies efficiently without compromising patient care or image quality - Educate patients, promote comfort, and address questions or concerns - Practice proper infection control and sterile techniques - Operate imaging equipment and related information systems effectively - Maintain accurate documentation of patient information, procedures, and adverse reactions - Follow protocols related to medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, quality control programs, and equipment issue reporting Skills for Success - Strong anatomy knowledge - Image quality evaluation - Imaging equipment operation - Contrast protocols awareness - Emergency response readiness - Ability to work independently and collaboratively - Clear and compassionate communication - Electronic imaging systems proficiency - Task prioritization in a fast?paced environment - Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe workspace Minimum Qualifications - Currently enrolled in a JRCERT or AMA?approved radiologic technology program, with documented completion of required clinical and didactic training per state regulations - Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers Why This Role Matters This position offers meaningful, hands?on clinical experience in a hospital setting while allowing you to practice at the top of your current scope.
