He/she will provide analytical support to the merchandising and sales teams to maximize sales and margin as well as optimize inventory. The individual will demonstrate business agility and strategic thinking, leveraging internal and external data to make fact-based decisions. He/she will build/maintain effective cross-functional relationships with Sales, FP&A, Analytics and Supply Chain.Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities:* Responsible for planning and analyzing retail sales and profitability for all wholesale partners in accordance with the company's S&OP process.* Provide strategic direction, both pre-season and in-season, to ensure increased sales and profitability.* Develop working relationships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to optimize financial success and appropriate inventory levels.* Monitor sales trends and promotional activities weekly to maintain success at retail.* Analyze sales at the SKU level to identify risks and opportunities.* Conduct data analysis to identify opportunities to grow the business.* Manage weekly reporting requirements.* Develop, maintain and update tools, reports, etc. to support the needs of the business.* Partner with Account Executives and Planners to ensure right stock, right place, right quantities, right stores, right time.Requirements:* 4 - 6 years' work experience in wholesale category level demand planning.* Demonstrated experience in retail data analysis and Open to Buy management* Expert knowledge and capabilities in Excel and PowerPoint* Attention to detail, strong oral and written communication skills* Proven self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and pivots to react to changing priorities* Ability to work autonomously* Ability to work cross-functionally with various stakeholders; confident interacting with Senior Executives* Financial and Business Acumen: Ability to evaluate financial and business indicators and translate data into actionable information to drive results; proficiency in retail math* Possess strong organizational and time management skills* Planning and Priority Setting: Demonstrate an ability to set objectives and goals and organize work appropriately to meet and exceed goals* Problem Solving & Decision ability: Able to use rigorous logic and methods to solve problems with effective solutionsBENEFITS AND PERKS* Medical, Dental, Vision* 401(k) Match* Flexible PTO* Market Money* Earn a Mattress* Purple Swag* Amazing Purple ProductsWHY WORK AT PURPLE?* Make your mark: We value innovative thinking.
