Lendio is seeking an experienced Director of Product Marketing to
join our Go-To-Market team. The successful candidate will be a
strategic thinker, skilled storyteller, and expert influencer with
the demonstrated ability to drive consensus across Product,
Creative, Marketing, and Sales. This individual will analyze market
feedback and data for product development and collaborate with key
stakeholders to set go-to-market strategies and priorities. In this
role, this individual will build upon their understanding of small
businesses' financial needs; directly inform product development,
and optimize our portfolio to better meet customer
needs.Responsibilities
- Champion the voice of the customer to prioritize products and
solutions to best address small businesses' financial needs
- Collaborate closely with Product & Sales teams to help shape
product and feature development based on market gaps and customer
needs
- Develop detailed go-to-market strategies for new and existing
product capabilities and features, working cross-functionally with
teams across Product, Marketing, Creative, Sales, Customer
Experience, and Business Insights.
- Execute market research, audience analysis, and communication
cadence to keep stakeholders informed of market shifts on a monthly
basis.
- Lead the evolution of how we define audience segmentation,
positioning, messaging, and adoption tactics for new and existing
products in-focus area(s)
- Collaborate closely with the Marketing team to align master
brand positioning with product value propositions across key areas
of the customer journey.
- Maintain detailed customer journey maps attributing
top-of-funnel engagement with mindset and message positioning all
the way through lower funnel channels.
- Build evergreen testing and optimization plans for enhancing
messaging and value proposition.
- Create customer experience templates for direct sales and CX
teams to ensure message alignment across all customer-facing
channels.
- Maintain competitive marketplace analysis and updates across
key competitors and communicate regularly to
stakeholders.Experience and Skills
- 8+ years experience in marketing; 5+ of those years in product
marketing for a SaaS or marketplace tech company.
- Familiar with SaaS products and eCommerce GTM strategies.
- Strong storyteller with the ability to develop campaigns that
get customers' attention and build product affinity people
love.
- Proven ability to integrate across teams in developing GTM
channel plans and campaigns.
- Analytical thinker with experience in data-driven marketing
including Google Analytics, Agile environments, and data
analysis.
- Ability to drive experimentation focused on conversion and
engagement
- Experience creating a multi-touch message matrix across Paid,
Social, and Onsite Marketing pages
- Apply insights and strategic thinking to influence
stakeholders
- Effectively communicate the benefits of various marketing
strategies to audiences of all levels
- Experience driving complex projects in a fast-paced
environment
- Player/coach mentality: Ability to get hands-on and jump in to
help the team at a moment's noticeThe Preferred Candidate Will Have
- Have an in-depth understanding of financial services or
accounting solutions ( small business industry a plus)
- Have strong product marketing experience in FinTech business
solutions - preferably SMBs/B2B/B2B2C
- Proven success leading content-driven lead generation
campaigns
- Experience launching new products and/or SaaS products as part
of a multi-product platform
- Lead with a market-driven mindset and outside perspective to
define product marketing strategy and plans
- Bring deep experience in the creation of differentiating value
propositions and core content
- Possess strong stakeholder management and communication
skills
- Embraces organizational management skill
