Job Purpose Further the MX Mission of 'empowering the world to be financially strong' by representing our values, progress, technology and policies in federal and state laws, policies and regulations. This role encompasses thought leadership, authoring of comment letters and positioning materials, and representing MX in industry groups, events and Governmental outreach. What you'll get to do--- Working with the MX team and executives to articulate and develop key policy areas relating to fintech, data sharing and financial strength Researching current and emerging laws and regulations relating to financial data - with focus on privacy, security and data rights. Collaborating with industry groups and other policy professionals to further collective goals Securing time, and meeting with regulators and lawmakers on a regular cadence, who oversee and/or influence policies in our space.-- Experiences gained in either hill positions, private company policy leadership and/or hands on financial regulatory work.-- A strong network in DC is essential, as is an understanding of the financial regulation landscape and the agencies that enforce them. Strong communication and networking skills are essential, as well as the ability to engage with leaders and staffers alike. Deep understanding of financial services, privacy, data and security and how they relate to each other is essential. Background in law or political science preferred, but relevant experience is priority.
