This hospital has been recognized on both the national and local level but is most known for their community-first centered care as seen with their EMS Stewards of the Community Award.The Nurse Director of Surgical Services will be joining a 40+ patient bed hospital and leading a cohesive perioperative unit that conducts top-tier orthopedic, neuro, cardiac, bariatric, oncology, and other general procedures. In this role, the Director of Surgical Services will be supported by a Manager and report directly to the Chief Nursing Officer. This hospital is home to some of the best quality and most advanced surgical technology. A modern pre-surgery and postoperative recovery area can also be found in this prime department. From preoperative care to postoperative recovery, the Director of Surgical Services will ensure that every critical element in the department is expertly coordinated, executed, and managed.The Nurse Director of Surgical Services will have oversight of the planning, organizing, and management of delivered patient care and will be expected to maintain budgetary operations, interact with patients, and effectively collaborate with other department leaders. The OR Nurse Director will be leading a talented department consisting of Nurse Supervisors, CNORs, Clinical Coordinators, Charge Nurses, Unit Secretaries, Certified Nursing Assistants, and Patient Care Associates that will all work collaboratively with other units including--PACU, Pre-OP, and Sterile Processing.
