to our collaborative teams. As a Project Engineer – Level 4 located
in Promontory, UT, you’ll be a linchpin in missions of paramount
importance, defining the art of the possible from day one. The
Project Engineer is responsible for establishment and execution of
all technical aspects of Development, Qualification, and Production
of advanced R&D projects. This position will manage the
technical products and aspects associated with the design,
engineering & manufacturing development (EMD), qualification, and
the follow-on production phases. The Project Engineer may also be
responsible for the scale up of products, processes, tooling, and
facilities for low rate and high rate production. Fast paced
development programs offer the potential for the Project Engineer
to work with a variety of resources/teams/divisions and witness the
entirety of the programs engineering lifecycle. This position will
work a 4/10 schedule Monday-Thursday. Job responsibilities include,
but are not limited to, the following: Primarily working with the
development of advanced projects from concept to demonstration.
Develop processes to craft energetic materials using technologies
from hand to automation. Provide support to other engineers for
process development. Administer and coordinate with a
multi-disciplinary team of engineers and scientists to accomplish
and fulfill customer requirements and project scope. Presentation
of data and recommendations to internal and external customers.
Ability to Travel expectation of 5% – 10% Other duties as assigned

Qualifications for Project Engineer: Bachelor’s degree in
Engineering with 10 years of professional experience – OR –
Master’s degree with 8 years of professional experience – OR – PhD
with 6 years of professional experience. Must have the ability to
obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance
Experience overseeing a team of multi-disciplinary engineers on the
design, build and testing of gas generators. Experience in
developing and implementing processes to disassemble and dissect
various types of warheads such as missiles and/or bombs in a safe
and efficient manner. Ability to correlate digital imaging testing
for investigation purposes. Experience in dissection and
investigations with small explosives and gas generators such as
airbag inflators. Experience with upgrading technology to current
methods using modern equipment for mechanical testing. Experience
managing an array of diverse project schedules and keep the
projects in budget and scope. Experience with developing project
scope with customers and maintain that scope with limited change
orders. Ability to teach technically complex topics and scenarios
clearly and concisely. Preferred Project Engineer Qualifications:
10 years of industry experience. Previous experience with the
design and building of unmanned aerial vehicles Previous experience
with composite layups for conceptual testing. Working knowledge of
structural engineering proven through design building and testing.
Previous experience in mentoring and leading junior level engineers
to develop their skills and abilities. Primary Level Salary Range:
$122,800.00 - $184,200.00 The above salary range represents a
general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of
factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and
responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience,
education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the
position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift
differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as
well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in
Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term
Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of
benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability
insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off
