About the job
Texas Instruments is looking for an energetic engineer with a
passion for process development. This position provides the
opportunity to drive innovation and continual improvement. Our team
is primarily focused on developing processes for new TI products.
We are searching for a self-directed, highly motivated engineer who
has experience with strained source/drain silicon cavity formation
via wet etch. Knowledge of BEOL post dry etch ULK cleans is also a
plus.
Responsibilities include:
Drive process and device improvements through characterization,
test, design of experiments, data analysis and simulation
Work with multiple process, integration, reliability, packaging and
test engineers to achieve these goals
Develops new or modified processes, define processing and equipment
requirements and specifications.
Involvement may begin at any step from planning to development and
to volume manufacturing
Compile and evaluate test data to determine appropriate limits and
variables for process or material specifications
Provide technical and sustaining engineering support in the
manufacturing area
Recommend and implement equipment and process modifications to
improve production efficiencies, manufacturing techniques,
fundamental capabilities and production yields for existing
products
Develop and conduct statistical analysis such as Design of
Experiments (DOE) and statistical process control (SPC) targeting
physical causes of failure for yield loss and improving quality
Partner with vendors to define and execute on equipment and process
development roadmaps
The person performing this role must be capable to plan
effectively, drive schedules, meet critical deadlines on multiple
tasks in parallel, lead technical discussions in their area of
expertise, and work effectively across organizational boundaries.
They must be able to clearly communicate project status and
actions. Additionally, they must be able to interface with multiple
organizations and work well on a diverse team to accomplish
goals.
Qualifications
Minimum requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Electrical
Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, or a related field
5 years experience in semiconductor manufacturing industry
experience
Advanced knowledge of standard wafer cleaning techniques and
chemistries
Direct experience working on strained source/drain silicon cavity
formation and/or ultra low-k post dry etch cleaning
Preferred qualifications:
Master's degree and 2 yrs semiconductor industry experience or PhD
in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering,
Materials Science Engineering, or a related field
Working knowledge of selective silicon wet etching to create
sigma-shaped cavity for epitaxial SiGe growth
Working knowledge of ultra low-k back end of the line post dry etch
solvent cleans
Demonstrated skills in design of experiments, data analysis, and
statistical process control
Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in
different functions and locations
Strong time management skills that enable on-time project
delivery
Good listener and excellent verbal and written communication
skills
Advanced analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to build strong, influential relationships
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing
environment
Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
