About the job
A Senior Scatterometry Development Engineer is responsible for the development of scatterometry models to monitor key wafer measurements and monitoring the quality of the models to ensure precise and accurate data is reported to internal customers.They meet with customers to understand measurement needs and design solutions to meet the measurement needs of a technologically -advanced wafer manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be a technical leader in the area of scatterometry and -ellipsometry to understand the optical characteristics of films used in semiconductor processing. - -
Responsibilities include:

  • Work closely with internal metrology customers to determine their need for scatterometry measurements and to communicate the capabilities of measurements.
  • Use DOE methodologies to capture relevant data needed for development of scatterometry measurements.
  • Use project management skills to organize the development of multiple measurements simultaneously.
  • Communicate estimated timeframes of measurements to stakeholders and work to reduce roadblocks in meeting agreed deadlines. -
  • Develop robust scatterometry models that meet MSA criteria.
  • Work with internal metrology customers and process integration engineers to implement the scatterometry measurement inline.
  • Train and mentor other engineers on industry leading methods for developing scatterometry. -The person performing this role must be capable to plan effectively, drive schedules, meet critical deadlines on multiple tasks in parallel, lead technical discussions in their area of expertise, and work effectively across organizational boundaries. They must be able to clearly communicate project status and actions. Additionally, they must be able to interface with multiple organizations and work well on a diverse team to accomplish goals. Minimum requirements:
    • Doctorate degree in physics or a engineering related field with experience in semiconductors
    • -Or- Bachelor's degree in an engineering field with a minimum of 4 years directly building scatterometry models on semiconductor wafers Preferred qualifications:
      • Demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills
      • Strong verbal and written communication skills
      • Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
      • Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
      • Demonstrated ability to build strong, influential relationships
      • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
