Job Description:
The Professional Engineer works under the direct supervision and responsible charge of Solo's engineering consulting firm and the Company Engineer. The Professional Engineer functions as the liaison between the Company Engineer and the CAD team, will seal plans for structural adequacy and code compliance, provides design team leadership to Solo's technical support, order processing, plan product delivery and software development staff from CAD completion to approved plan documents.Job Responsibilities:

Utilize and employ engineering techniques and methods in developing custom designed residential and standalone photovoltaic addition projects.
Develop and implement design procedures for design engineer personnel.
Lead design team in creating and developing designs in accordance with industry standards, state and local building and zoning codes, ordinances, and other applicable standards.
Employ value engineering analysis techniques to create and enhance internal process to improve efficiencies.
Direct CAD personnel in plan revisions and design modifications of design plans and construction documents.

Skills/Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering w/ a structures emphasis.
Must have excellent communication skills, a positive, outgoing attitude and work well in a team setting.
Proficient in Microsoft Office a must
Experience with Wood and Wood Truss Design a plus
Must have PE license and an active NCEES Record, structural preferred
Must be highly motivated, a self starter, able to work independently and thrive on meeting deadlines.
