- Collaborate with other Data Center, lab and logistics managers
across multiple sites to evolve and optimize processes in a
globally consistent way, allowing pure storage to scale effectively
and efficiently.
- Work with peer organizations and regional teams that affect and
deliver services to data center operations such as network
operations, project management, facilities/maintenance management,
logistics and supply chain operations in order to successfully
deliver and maintain data center capacity to support ongoing
business growth
- Develop standards around, and perform routine checks of
facilities to ensure proper cooling, power, inventory and cabling
standards are met.
- Assist with hardware installation, cabling and configuration on
as-needed basis to supplement data center technician teams during
peak workload (20-30%)
- Ability to travel up to 30% between Utah and California
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in relevant data center operations or
similar jobs
- Experience working in a, technical, hands-on, growing
environment
- Experience working in a co-located data center environment,
interacting with vendor-side facilities team regarding work orders,
change requests, root cause analysis of facilities issues, as well
as billing / ordering review and submission.
- Knowledge of data center power, cooling, network, structured
cabling, server and storage infrastructure
- Experience making decisions with minimal direction and
prioritizing across multiple competing demands
- Communication and collaboration experience is a must BE
