That's digital trust for the real world.POSITIONJOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEWThis Lehi based Principal Systems Engineer (Splunk) will assist in maintaining high levels of performance, uptime and overall integrity of DigiCert's global infrastructure.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND COMPETENCIES

  • Splunk 50+ server infrastructure administration/management
  • VMware/vCenter (13 vCenters 300 hosts) administration/management
  • Compute infrastructure administration/management
  • Storage administration/management
  • Data backup administration/management
  • AWS administration/management
  • Work relating to the monitoring of infrastructure systems and applications
  • Ongoing system performance analysis and capacity planning
  • Provide regular status and track work related to assigned projects and tasks
  • Incident response as needed to resolve system failures and participate in on-call rotation
  • Provide recommendations, cross-training and other support to team members
  • Participate in and contribute to the evaluation, design, installation and maintenance of hardware infrastructure components
  • Participate in and contribute to risk management, business continuity management, policy review and compliance audits
  • Look for ways to improve and streamline processes and procedures
  • Occasional scripting work (bash, python, PowerShell)
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assignedREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, &/OR CERTIFICATION)
    • Heavy emphasis on Splunk installation and troubleshooting
    • Strong problem-solving skills
    • 4-year college degree in an IT related discipline or 6 years of relevant work experience
    • Interpersonal communication skills and emotional maturity
    • Team player with positive attitude
    • Self-motivated and effective time management skills
