Job Description Job Description Salary: Senior Accountant About the Company: We are an established and rapidly growing food service business operating across multiple locations. The company is located in Orem and is mission-driven, quality-focused, and committed to operational excellence while continuing to scale. Role Summary: We are seeking a Senior Accountant to oversee and scale the accounting operations of a fast-growing, multi-location restaurant business. This is a hands-on, on-site role responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and timely compliance while supporting operational leaders with reliable financial insights. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in restaurant or hospitality accounting, thrives in a high-growth environment, and is comfortable owning the full accounting cycle while mentoring junior staff and partnering with external advisors. Key Responsibilities: Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including bank feeds, journal entries, and account reconciliations Manage and oversee biweekly payroll processing, including tipped employees Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Lead month-end and year-end close processes for multiple restaurant locations Ensure accurate revenue recognition across POS systems and third-party delivery platforms Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and merchant processing statements Maintain fixed asset schedules and record depreciation Track property taxes for all locations throughout the year and prepare annual filings Prepare and submit monthly sales tax filings Manage accounts payable processing through Bill Coordinate with external CPAs, payroll providers, and vendors Establish and improve accounting processes, controls, and documentation as the business scales Mentor, review, and support junior accounting staff as needed Requirements: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 7 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in restaurant, hospitality, or multi-location environments Strong understanding of payroll accounting, including tipped wages Proven experience managing month-end close and financial statement preparation Experience with POS systems and third-party delivery platforms Proficiency with accounting software and AP platforms (Bill experience strongly preferred) Working knowledge of sales tax compliance and filings Experience coordinating with external CPAs and auditors Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a high-growth or scaling business Interest in mission-driven or values-based organizations
